I made the choice to put ME first and transformed my life with 30 minutes of Pole Yoga a week.

I took the leap in 2004 to purchase the fitness pole. I had just birthed my 3rd child and was needing a new outlet. Although I had worked on the pole for years as a “stripper” I was looking for something “more” with the pole. It sat pretty dormant for 5 years until I began developing Polistic Plus Pole Yoga in 2009.
In 2015 after giving birth to my 4th child an event struck my life and I sunk into deep depression and gained a lot of weight. I was on the brink of life and death after a nervous breakdown when getting back on the pole was “my doing something positive to make a difference thing.”
In 2009 when I began developing this practice I was still fit and could easily come off the ground. In 2018 I was so heavy and weak going off the ground was going to be stressful and possibly lead to injury. I scoured over my old journals and the core of the practice was all on the ground, I just hadn’t noticed it before.
I took out all the poses off the ground and I began practicing these 52 poses for 30 minutes, at least once a week.
Having a Yoga Pole in the bedroom may feel controversial, or dirty at first thought.
See the pole as the tuning tool it is.
I began January 20, 2018 and by January 2019 I had shed 55 pounds and the treacherous effects of 4 full term pregnancies and depression began to heal.
I have shared this practice with women of all ages now and the reactions are always the same; exuberant delight, surprise breakthroughs, relaxed feelings and stronger body.
Even though I have used the pole for strip dancing, and I do not condone that in any way, the pole in my bedroom is mainly used for Pole Yoga and as a climbing toy for my kids and their friends.
I think of all the joy that has come from the Yoga Pole and I just can’t imagine living without it.
I know putting yourself first as a mom is the most difficult task.
I know that bills add up, and there is not enough time in the day.
We are ALL granted 1,444 minutes every day.
There is only ONE person who can make you a priority and that is YOU!
30 minutes a week is all it takes.
